Arm liposuction is typically done on women. Women tend to have an excess of fat on the back of the arm that most men do not have. This makes it very difficult for women to achieve tricep definition. The lower portion of the arm (“Bingo Arm) and the back of the arm are treated with liposuction. Some women also have an anterior and posterior fat pad that is normally referred to as “bra fat”. These areas are located on the chest in front of the arm pit and on the back.

Most patients have good skin contraction after liposuction. If someone has lost a large amount of weight and has a lot of excessive skin, they might only be a candidate for a brachioplasty (arm lift).
